Now that Sleepy July is almost over, it’s time to register for THE GREAT PLAINS PUPPET TRAIN Sept. 20-23 in West Liberty, Iowa. Check the website for performances (a fabulous line-up), workshops, and other details! We’ve extended the deadline for early registration to August 15.
NEWSFLASH! The first Festival Motel (the Presidential Inn in West Branch) is full! We’re now reserving rooms at the second Festival Motel, the Super Eight in Muscatine, Iowa (563-263-9100, also for $45.00 a night for up to 3 people. Muscatine is about 15 miles south of West Liberty. If you’re flying in, we’ll make sure you have transportation to and from the motel! If you’re driving,please consider sharing!
If you’d rather, you can stay in a fully equipped camper, loaned by a local resident, on the West Liberty Fairgrounds (just a 10 minute walk from downtown). The cost s $15.00 a night for the hook-up, and the campers sleep up to 6 people. OR you can stay with a local resident. Please let us know ASAP if you’d like to take advantage of either of these options!

Registration is only $160.00 (if you act soon!), and meals are $40.00. If you stay in the motel, we encourage you to share rooms. It’s a small motel, and we’d like to give everyone a chance. ACCOMMODATIONS
The $45.00 motel rooms are available through the end of July (beware: prices go way up August 15th!).
If you like camping, we have an excellent campsite only a 10 minute walk from the festival location. You can even borrow a camper from one of our generous local residents!

SCHEDULE
Thursday: The festival starts the evening of Sept. 20 with supper and a performance.

Friday: will include workshops, performances in our opera house , a catered dinner, and a Puppet Slam.
Saturday: will feature the West Liberty Children’s Festival, complete with five puppet performances and lots of street food and activities, and will end with a delicious catered dinner and another performance.
Sunday: breakfast, one more performance, and farewells to friends, old and new!
